Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 January 2026
Template. These terms cover use of the website only. Your bill of lading and moving contract are the documents that govern an actual move — have both, and this page, reviewed by an Ontario lawyer before launch.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of https://promovingservices.ca, operated by Pro Moving Services Inc.. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Estimates are estimates
Prices shown on this website — including the instant cost estimator and any “starting at” figures — are indicative guidance only and do not constitute an offer. A binding price exists only in a written estimate issued by one of our move consultants for your specific move, and it is conditional on the access, inventory and timing described in that estimate.
Local moves are billed on an hourly basis with a stated minimum. Long-distance and commercial moves are quoted as a flat price based on an inventory or site survey. Where actual conditions differ materially from what was described to us — significantly more goods, unreported stairs, no truck access — the estimate may be revised, and we will tell you before continuing.
3. Booking and cancellation
Local moves generally require no deposit. Long-distance moves and peak dates may require a deposit, which is applied against your final invoice. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are set out in your written estimate and bill of lading.
4. Goods we cannot transport
We cannot legally carry flammable, corrosive or explosive goods, including propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosols, ammunition and fireworks. We ask that you personally transport cash, jewellery, identification documents, prescription medication and irreplaceable items.
5. Liability and claims
Our liability for loss or damage is governed by the bill of lading you sign on move day and by applicable Ontario legislation. Basic protection is included on every move; full-value protection is available at additional cost and must be elected before the move begins. Claims must be submitted in writing within the period stated on the bill of lading.
6. Website content
